Saying that he hoped to hear from him sooner, asking if he knows the outcome of [Verdi's] Macbeth, saying he prefers that role to all others, reporting that the theatre in Dublin is going magnificently, and recommending a singer [Lanzoni?] who would be "un magnifico acquisto" for Smith for Lucrezia [Borgia], Leporello in Don Giovanni, etc.
